Courmayeur is a beautiful and traditional ski resort situated in the Italian Alps under the famous Mont Blanc range. The resort is full of character with attractive cobbled streets and enjoys a car free centre making it a great family friendly resort. The town has its own Ice rink and sports centre and also a great selection of bars, shops and restaurants.

The skiing here is fabulous, and is ideally suited to intermediate skiers, with some long wide slopes and fantastic off piste skiing. Being in Italy, you can also enjoy the unique thrill that is heli-skiing.

Courmayeur has plenty of slopes to keep a family entertained for a week, but if you are looking for more, then you don’t need to go far. Just 10 minutes though the Mont Blanc tunnel brings you out to the famous ski resort of Chamonix, and a short drive through the Aosta Valley brings you to the resorts of Pila and La Thuile in Italy.
